JMU won the 1st place Rookie Award after successfully designing, building, and launching their rocket in the 2021-2022 NASA Student Launch Competition
About Us
JMU Rocketry is a student proposed engineering capstone. Our team is competing in the 2021-2022 NASA Student Launch Competition. We are excited to be the first JMU team to compete in this competition. The NASA student Launch Competition challenges teams to design, fabricate, and launch a high power rocket and engineering payload. There are additional STEM engagement requirements. We wil lbe launching our final rocket in Huntsville Alabama in April of 2022.

As JMU's first NASA Student Launch team, we are committed to building a strong foundation for JMU Rocketry and leading the way for future JMU students interested in aerospace engineering
STEM Engagement
Space inspires! We have been so fortunate to be able to teach so many local 3rd and 4th grade students about gravity, air resistance, and parachutes. We are expected to teach over 360 students, 100 students over our initial goal!
